Why Calta?
Literature greatly affects and inspires my photography. The works of Tolkien emphasize the importance and beauty of nature because of God’s reflection in it. This thought process gave me a unique perspective of Nature and opened another realm of photography to explore.
The word Calta comes from one of Tolkien’s many languages, Quenya, it means, “To Shine.” I strive for my work to shine light on and capture the beauty and wonder in all of creation.
Style
These three things are what I strive to capture in my work.
Simplicity… Capture magnificence in the simple things through a unique perspective.
Elegance… Convey the beauty of the Creator that exists in all of nature and every person.
Character… Identify the distinct character that makes something/someone unique and interesting.

Let’s face it – a special event is something we look back on for years to come, remembering the good times we’ve had and the wonderful people we’ve shared our lives with. Capturing that event is just as important as any other detail you need to work out. My photography will help you capture the magic of the moment, whether it’s a graduation, wedding, anniversary, baptism or similar special moment in your life.
Because I’ve worked with so many clients in so many different environments, you’ll barely notice I’m there – the occasional touch to fix a hem or request to turn slightly is all you’ll notice. This is just one way I capture the magic.
